Thousands of visitors come to central Nebraska for the annual Sandhill crane migration. As a result of research by the University of Nebraska Rural Initiative in collaboration with the Nebraska Nature and Visitor Center, a sampling of some of the many attractions in the region has been developed. For a downloadable document that includes a detailed list of attractions and a map, click the link above.
We hope you will come to central Nebraska to see the Sandhills crane migration spectacle and that, while you are there, you will also take time to explore these and other hidden treasures in the area.
The Rural Initiative helps Nebraska communities capture the revenue offered by tourism with Red Carpet Service and Visitor Surveys. The Initiative also supports the UNL Grassland Foundation in its annual lecture series on regional and global grassland conservation through nature tourism and other
